This newly renovated, furnished house is located in the Bangkapi District of Bangkok, Thailand. It combines classic Thai architecture and contemporary design with its mixture of polished teak wood and marble floors.

Ground floor

Downstairs you will find an airy, open plan layout with a dining and living area, one guest bedroom and also a kitchen, utility area and maid’s quarters located towards the rear of the house. The dining area is well lit by large windows including one stained glass window. Walk through the dining and living area to reach the kitchen with indoor and outdoor cooking areas (for spicy Thai food). Adjacent to the kitchen there are two single rooms with a shared bathroom and also a utility area with washing machine. Outside provides a relaxing garden and courtyard with hanging chairs and Thai fauna such as orchids and bamboo. There is also a driveway with space for 2-4 vehicles (depending on car size).

1st Floor

Upstairs there are five bedrooms. The master bedroom, as well as three other single rooms each have an en suite bathroom and a balcony which overlooks the local, famous Sansaeb Canal, running parallel to the house. There is also one other single room for any purpose.

Location

The house is located in a quiet, residential street which branches off of Ramkamhaeng Road. There is also easy access to Ladprao Road, another main route into the city centre. It is a short walk to a selection of shops, dining and entertainment including a variety of popular department stores and supermarkets such as The Mall, N Mark Plaza and Tesco Lotus. Also within walking distance is Ramkamhaeng University which offers leisure facilities such as swimming, fitness and archery. The campus also houses Rajamangala Stadium which recently hosted a friendly match between Liverpool Football Club and the Thai National Football Team. Schools in the area include Ladprao Bilingual School and Saint John’s International School.

Access to the city centre can be taken along various routes including road, underground and skytrain networks. But probably by far the most interesting method of travel is a canal taxi which will take you along the Sansaeb Canal directly to Bangkok’s central business districts (Sukhumvit and Petchburi) and shopping areas (such as Pratunam, MBK and Bo-Bae). Stay on the river taxi a little longer to reach historical sights such as Golden Mountain and the Grand Palace in about 20-40 minutes.
